Modern slavery and human trafficking policy

LUK Scaffolding Ltd is Scaffolding Contractor based in London. We operate from our Head Office in West Drayton and manage sites across the UK.

LUK Scaffolding Ltd acknowledges responsibility to the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and will ensure transparency within the organisation and with suppliers of goods and services to the organisation.

We are committed to ensuring that there is no modern slavery or human trafficking in our supply chains or in any part of our business. Our Anti-slavery policy reflects our commitment to acting ethically and with integrity in all our business relationships and to implementing and enforcing effective systems and controls to ensure slavery and human trafficking is not taking place anywhere in our business and in our supply chains.

As part of the company’s due diligence processes into slavery and human trafficking, our supplier approval process will incorporate a review of the controls undertaken by the supplier. Imported goods from sources from outside the UK are potentially more at risk for slavery/human trafficking issues. The level of management control required for these sources will be continually monitored.

LUK Scaffolding Ltd will not support or deal with any business knowingly involved in slavery or human trafficking.

An on-going part of our commitment is to identify and mitigate against risks presented by modern slavery and human trafficking, we have nominated our Directors and Senior management to:

  • Identify in appropriate employment practices
  • Identify and assess other potential risk areas.
  • Mitigate the risk of slavery and human trafficking occurring.
  • Monitor potential risk areas.

To ensure the effectiveness of our approach to ensuring compliance with the MSA we assess our suppliers on a regular basis. This allows us to adopt a risk assessed approach to ensure we devote most attention to the areas of greatest risk.

The company Directors and senior management shall take responsibility for implementing this policy statement and its objectives and shall provide adequate resources and investment to ensure that slavery and human trafficking is not taking place within the organisation and within its supply chains.

Where deemed necessary to minimise the risks presented and to ensure a high level of understanding within our business, our supply chains and our business partners, we provide the relevant information, instruction, training and guidance.

This policy statement will be reviewed and published annually.
